I’m Jack Langford, a freelance Copywriter, MBA-certified Marketer and UX Copywriter. I have a wealth of experience writing for worldwide renowned brands across a range of industries, and now I’m looking forward to writing about your business.

Copywriting is a conversation, and I’m proud to create conversations with consumers worldwide every single day. If the conversation is a one-way exchange, you’ll talk yourself out of those all-important clicks and sales. But the right copy will speak volumes for your business and create an authentic connection with consumers.

Your brand boundaries are up to you, but I’d suggest pushing them to spark a truly memorable connection with consumers. Every business has its own distinctive story, and it’s up to me to capture your company’s exclusive tone of voice.

What I write

From the red tape of writing an annual company report to the pun potential of a furniture company called ‘Sofa So Good’, my copy and approach varies from client to client. But overall, here are my specialist fields:

UX copy

Less focused on selling, and more focused on transforming the customer experience, my UX copy expertise ensures all journeys are clear and cohesive. Titles, buttons, instructions, notifications, error messaging… minimal copy can maximise impact.

Within my role, I’m heavily involved in UX research and collaborate closely with Designers and Product Owners to ensure my copy is in line with our wider product principles.

Blogs

The benefits of blogging are brilliant. Effective blog content will increase traffic, drive long-term results and establish brand authority. Consistent content creation is key, but talkative and targeted copy is even more valuable.

Web copy

Statistically, it takes a tenth of a second for you to make a first impression. The tricks to clicks lie in consumer engagement. If you’re entertained, you’re more likely to stay on a website and subsequently more likely to buy a product – it’s simple maths, or English for that matter.

Social media copywriting may sound easy, but to master the art, you’ll need more than a few witty GIFs, catchy slogans and one liners – you’ll need to speak directly to what your audience wants. Easier said than done, but my creative copy will help you stand out from the crowd.

Where to start?

Firstly, I’ll really get to the heart of your brand. But more importantly, I’ll work to engage with your audience. What are their challenges? What do they want? How do they think? You get the idea. The demographic is a good start, but I’ll need to dig deeper and connect with your audience on an emotional level. Then it’s about writing copy that sells.
